Sofia is a plastic-visual artist native to the city of Zamora, Michoacán, México (1996). Graduated from the University of Guanajuato (2020) where she had a theoretical-practical training in plastic and visual arts.
Her work is mainly developed through mixed pictorial techniques and the traditional graphic, although she has also developed small -format sculptural pieces in mud, resin and fast drying paste. His personal work addresses issues such as: the relationship between emotions and the human body worked by gymnastics, dance and ballet, in addition to music. She has developed pictorical compositions that resort to the dreamlike through the use of elements such as hands, feet, water, plants, and the same human body. In more recent works she defines the visual-composition depending on the concept, always ensuring the realization of a previous sketch to define the final image. She is currently exploring the production of miniature art, the composition of portraits both in small and large formed customer commissioners, in addition to the expansion of their own designs in diverse formats such as: fabric bags, postcards, stickers and illustration of children's stories, in order to pay the rent and continue her art career.
Biography
She was part of the Independent Art Circuit in Guanajuato, where she had the opportunity to promote her art and meet other emerging artists, their work and processes. She has participated in individual and collective exhibitions in Guanajuato and Zamora; as well as in various contemporary dance, ballet and theatrical production workshops. She has also been a drawing teacher for children, adolescents and adults.
She currently dedicates her artistic practice in the city of Pátzcuaro, where she continues her studies in Theories of the image, Art Critic and Classical Ballet.

Together with the artists Julio Sahagún Sánchez and Fabián Gutiérrez Bahena we made a mural within the framework of the Capital Corona Festival in Mexico City, at the Hermanos Rodriguez Autodrome.
